PCoin Wallet — Privacy Policy

The short version: this app collects no data about you, and we run no servers that could see any. It is a non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet that runs a full PCoin node on your own phone.

What the app stores, and where

Your wallet keys are generated on your device and encrypted with a key held in the Android Keystore. Your 12-word recovery phrase, your transaction history, your address book and your settings are stored only in the app's private storage on your phone. None of it is ever transmitted to us — we have no server to send it to, and the app has no account system, no registration and no login.

What we collect

Nothing. The app contains no analytics, no advertising, no crash-reporting service and no tracking of any kind.

Network activity

The app runs a full PCoin node, so it connects directly to other nodes on the public PCoin peer-to-peer network (including the DNS seed at seed.pc.am). As with any peer-to-peer software, the peers you connect to can see your IP address. Transactions you choose to send are broadcast to the network and recorded on the public blockchain — that is how a blockchain works, and it is public by design.

Camera

The camera permission is used only to scan QR codes of payment addresses when you tap the scan button. Frames are processed on the device and never stored or transmitted.

Your responsibility

Because we hold nothing, we can recover nothing. Anyone with your 12-word recovery phrase can spend your coins; the phrase never leaves your phone unless you write it down or export it yourself. Keep it safe.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be published at this address with an updated date.
